The resurrection is a choice. It was a choice for Christ, He was obedient unto death. It is a choice for us, if we accept the price He paid, we too will be resurrected. If we reject Him, we chose to not be resurrected. From the beginning of time it has been a simple equation: Choose to believe God and live. Chose to reject God’s word, and forfeit resurrection.

Adam and Eve chose to disobey God. The result was spiritual death as well as physical. Noah chose to obey God and he was spared death by flood as a picture of life in obedience. Abraham chose to obey God, and it was coutned unto him as righteousness.

But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when he comes back.
    I Corinthians 15:23

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
    John 11:25-26

Today, we have the choice between eternal life (or if you will resurrection)
or to reject the price Christ paid and forfeit resurrection.
